Frequently Asked Questions
A: I love guitars.
I love playing them, setting them up, building them, and listening to podcasts/videos about building and playing them.
I don't try to justify it, I just love everything about the guitar.
My name is Erick, and I put that care, passion, and attention to detail into every single instrument I create. For more info about me and my vision for the instrument, please check out the About page.

A: Reverb offers several appealing features.
It provides both buyer and seller protection, feedback, and a way to make a purchase through a well known and vetted site.
I understand not wanting to enter credit card information on an unknown site, or make a payment through PayPal or Venmo,
so I wanted to make an alternative available. Full disclosure: Selling an instrument through Reverb costs me about 15% of the sale price, so it is expensive.
This is why on Reverb there is an additional flat fee of $100, to share that cost so I can offer my instruments on that platform.
A: You can directly make payment to me through Venmo or Paypal.
This money is held in escrow until your instrument arrives safe and sound.
As the site grows and expands, I expect to have on site purchasing options available.
A: Yes, with a few caveats.
- First, you must be in the general Colorado Springs, CO area or be willing to drop off/pick up the instrument.
- Second, if you are in need of a restring, basic setup, or simple hardware repair/replacement I strongly suggest visiting Graner Music as they have good prices, quick turn around times, and do excellent work. I should know, I work there!
- However if your job is more advanced, please check out the Repairs Page to learn more.
A: Absolutely! This is in fact my main focus. I want to build the guitar you want, according to your specifications.
A: Currently you can use this form to contact me, and we can begin discussion on what it is you are looking for.
You will be able to specify as many details as you want, or we can work together to craft something based on your general preferences and vision of what a great guitar is.
Once everything is exactly how you want, you can make payment and I will get to work right away.
A: It very much depends on the instrument itself.
It can be as little as 4 weeks for very basic instruments, or in the case of extremely involved unique instruments could be many more.
Once I have the specs in hand, I can quote an ETA.
A: For pre-built instruments, 14 days. You ship it back at your expense in the exact condition it was recieved, and I will refund the full amount.
A: For custom instruments, all sales are final. Each custom instrument requires significant time and money, and as a small one-person shop I cannot absorb that expense. That being said, I will make every possible effort to insure that the guitar is what you want before construction begins, and that everything is correct before shipping. I will also go above and beyond to remedy any issue you encounter after receiving the instrument. The quality of the instrument and your satisfaction are my primary goals.

A: Currently I don't do full accoustic builds. My processes are not mature enough for me to offer that ... yet.
I absolutely will not use another builder/manufacturers logo or headstock, so don't even ask.
Everything else is on the table though; any shape, scale length, finish, or exotic wood you can think of.
